Merry Christmas, Everyone

December 24, 2006

As you may have noticed, the effects of the holidays have caused very little blogging from me – my apologies – but I’ll be blogging frequently again come the new year when all the kerfuffle is over and I’ve spent all my savings in the January sales.

I want to wish absolutely everyone out there a very, very merry Christmas and a fantastic new year – a massive thank you to all of my readers for all of your support and friendship – and I’ll see you all again in 2007 (unless I sneak in a few blog posts before the 31st…)

Click here for a video message from me – but please ignore the terrible video quality!

The Internet Is For Porn

December 5, 2006

I’m sure you’ve all seen the brilliant videos for the song from hit musical, Avenue Q, right?

If you haven’t, you are seriously missing out.  So search YouTube and such until you find some!

Whether you’ve seen it or not, feel free to check out my personal version (yes I know it’s lame, but it was fun to do.. and I know I’m sad to know all the words, but come on – who actually cares?), found here.

So I Got An iPod…

December 4, 2006

I was torn between the Creative Vision and the iPod 30GB Video.  But I went with the iPod.

To be honest, I was expecting some problems.  I was feeling a bit guilty too, thinking that I shouldn’t have gone with a trend, etc… but man, it’s the best thing in the whole world.

I literally cannot fault it.  It doesn’t need a manual because it’s so simple to use, it doesn’t require drivers – it’s a piece of cake.

I thought I was going to have a problem when I went to put my Father Ted episodes on it, but oh no – as soon as I found free iPod video converter, Videora, I was sorted.  I usually have big problems with MP3 players for whatever reason – I’m not lucky with them at all – but I just can’t stress how  good the iPod has been to me.

I’ve heard that despite advertising itself as having a 20hr battery life, it usually gives up up to about 5hrs.  Hopefully, this won’t be the case, but I’m not going to be naive about it.  I’d like to think it won’t let me down.

And I confess; I eat my own words about iTunes.  That also, has impressed me to the Macs (max, for those who missed my terrible joke).  Apple, I congratulate you.  And I am now seriously considering the purchase of as Mac Mini.

It’s My Birthday…

December 1, 2006

And I’m gonna party it out!

There’s no rest for the wicked since I’m teaching tonight, but hopefully going on for a meal afterwards with family, so should be good.  Wish I was going to the live Mint Condition concert tonight in California though…

I’d like to wish all my friends the very best of luck at the British Masters this weekend – wish I could be with you!

Do us proud, girls!
