What used to be a basic cult TV show has escalated into one of the biggest disputes of 2007 so far and why? Because of Z list celebrities and their ignorance.
Jade Goody’s career started with hit Channel 4 show, Big Brother, and is now likely to have ended it with the same programme; just the celebrity version.
As we all know – or at least the majority – Goody was the alleged ‘gang leader’ of the accused racist bullying towards fellow housemate and contestant, Bollywood star, Shilpa Shetty. Jade and her ‘crew’ consisting of former S Club member, Jo O’ Meara and model, Danielle Lloyd started the debate with petty schoolground bullying, which soon disturbingly morphed into culturally ignorant remarks, which some questioned as racism. The incidents have made front page news across the world and has caused so many complaints that it’s impossible to count them all.
My opinion? I can’t believe I used to like these people. I am genuinely shocked to the core that I actually witnessed fully grown adults acting in such an immature, inexplicable manner. Jade was evicted from the house after going up against Shilpa in a live eviction and the look on her face when she watched the news reports from around the world was priceless. Shilpa is the most calm, well-mannered and respectable housemate in there and she definitely did not deserve the slightest amount of treatment in which she received and I am fully backing both her and ‘H’ to win.
Now that Danielle and Jo – ‘The Followers’ – are left alone in the house, it’ll be interesting to see how they treat Shilpa without Jade’s big mouth guiding them, but I surely hope they get what’s coming to them when they eventually leave the house and into the public eye.
I’m disappointed that the people in which us Brits somewhat look up to have done this to our country. I was bullied as a child and if there’s something I really hate, it’s bullying and especially racist behaviour.
From this moment forth, I refuse to support Jade Goody in any way, shape or form and will keep my fingers crossed that Jo and Danielle are the next to go.
